Empties

First of all, I've been away for a long time and I apologize. I started this blog as a school project and since I have graduated it hasn't had the highest priorities... I found a job and the past couple of months have been crazy with activities. I also got an iPod, so I'm going to try to blog more. :)

Secondly, this post is going to be about four products that I have used up and thought I'd share my thoughts on.

1. Not Your Mother's Way to Grow Long & Strong shampoo and conditioner

This stuff is so great and it smells pretty darn good as well! I've looked online to see what the exact scent of it is but I can't find it anywhere... To me it smells like strawberries and cream on steroids. The scent is somewhat strong so if you can't tolerate it, bummers... The shampoo gets your hair really clean and the conditioner is a great moisturizer.  The conditioners formula is so thick and creamy and gets my hair untangled very well. These products are for all hair types,  sulfate free, and the finished product is only tested on humans!

2. St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub

Talk about invigorating! It was just a travel size but it lasted me around five months. The scent is rather apricot-y but I didn't mind it to much. It made my skin so smooth without it being to rough.

3. Sparkling Blackberry Woods perfume (Bath and Body Works)

I must have deleted the picture for this one, but I guess that's okay because Bath and Body Works doesn't make it anymore... :( My mentor got me hooked on this scent last Christmas and when I found out that I couldn't buy it anymore I was super bummed. It smells so fresh, crisp, and a touch fruity... It's really hard for me to find perfumes because I'm rather picky when it comes to scents. This one is perfect for me... :)

I started writing this blog post in February and am finally getting back to it. My life has been crazy as I have started my job as a nanny to three crazy kids. I'm hoping to blog some more (as I said I got an iPod so yeah... I have no excuse).

I'll talk to ya later :)

Tis the Season

Wow... Can you believe it's only 9 (10, if you're counting today) days until Christmas?! I think I have all of my Christmas shopping done, but I know I need to finish up some DIY ones. If you're like me, then you like to work while listening to music. And what better way to get in to the Christmas spirit then listening to Christmas music!

Here are some of my current favorites...

The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire)
-Poema

Little Drummer Boy
-Pentatonix
If you haven't heard this song, well either you don't have internet or you live under a rock. SO good.

Mary and Joseph
-Dave Barnes
I found this song last week and I really love it.
(If you love it to you can get it for free here, it's the fifth one down)

O Come, O Come Emmanuel
-Josh Wilson

Joy to the World
-Jeremy Camp

These are only some of my favorites. I have a LOT more that are just classics in our house (Nat King Cole, Rich Mullins).

Merry Christmas,

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving, ya'll!

Today is a bitter-sweet day for my family. Two years ago today we lost my great-grandmother, Grammy, and having to be thankful on such a day is going to be very interesting... Personally, I am thankful for the legacy she left behind and for what a great example she was (for me) to her husband, children, friends, family, and strangers.

On a lighter note, here are some other things that I am thankful for (Believe me I could go on for a while, but I'll keep it to just a few :) )

- A loving family
- Good-to-great friends
- Technology (so I can stay in touch with people who aren't here at the moment)
- An amazing church and church family
- MUSIC
- Football
- Nailpolish
- Time alone (Introvert alert haha)
- Quality design
- Candles
- Laughing
- Our church's youth pastor and his family
- Movies
- Flowers

Hope your Thanksgiving is a day of many thanks and if you can't think of anything to be thankful for, just know I'm thankful for you!

Currently...

- Reading At the moment nothing, but I did just finish a book series from Neta Jackson called "The Yada Yada Prayer Group." The way the characters come together is really awesome. These books made me laugh and cry. Above all, it was a really great book series and it challenged me to pray better and more.

- Listening to A cornucopia of music... haha :) I have a Spotify account and I love it! It's a great way to find new music!

- Watching The 12th season of Project Runway, the 20th season of America's Next Top Model, the 5th season of The Voice, and the 3rd season of Once Upon a Time. I've also been really into re-runs of Bones and Castle.

- Eating Food ;P haha I'm actually rarely ever hungry anymore or I feel like a bottomless pit. haha

- Wearing At the moment, pajamas... haha But I'm really excited for colder weather so I can wear sweaters and scarves! I'm also hoping to get a pair of boots soon!!

- Working on Finding a job. Also, making jewelry...

- Looking forward to Plumb, Josh Wilson, and Mikeschair concert at my church! (If you would like info click here or here)

What are you all up to?? :)

On another note,
I was nominated by Morgan for the Versatile Blogger Award! Thanks so much! :)

This is what she wrote about it if you're wondering what it is:
"The Versatile Blogger award is a blogger to blogger award and is a way of recognizing great blogs. -- I had never heard of this award before and tried to trace it back to who started it. I found versatilebloggeraward.wordpress.com and I'm assuming that's where it started. Anyway, if you're nominated you create a post displaying the award and then you nominate some of your favorite blogs, who nominate some of there favorites and so on and so on. Be sure to leave a comment or send a message to those that you nominate to make sure they know they've been nominated. You're also supposed to share 7 facts about yourself...."

I follow a lot of really, really popular blogs so I'm putting them down so you can check them out!
